Nathan your post reminded me of this quote ... needless to say I have always perferred the latter half!

Rule of thumb: If someone at Myspace sends you a request to be your friend, it's probably spam...besides, no hot babe wants to really be your friend, just beause she saw your profile once on Myspace.

Companies that offer free soda-pop, should never be trusted to be good companies; this offering of something free (coffee notwithstanding), usually diminishes the employee in some capacity. Trust me, while you are filling your bottomless cup with coke, your position may be eliminated. It may be a coincidence, but I have worked for a few companies that seem to have this correllation between free softdrinks and extreme corporateness.
If you are a surgeon, and pull a string of something out of somebody and don't know what it is, is it okay to just cut it off? Just Wondering.

I just found out two weeks ago: My mum has teh breast cancer.
It's stage 2 thankfully. She was going to forgo her mammogram this year but thought better of it. The one last year didn't catch it. She having surgery soon to remove it and/or her whole breast on June 9th-ish.

In other words, grab life by the horns, and actually see how it turns out, for if all you do is ponder it you will never know the outcome.
...and "Trilogy" by ATB is a really nice, depressing piano concierto. I'm digging it right now.

Last year while I was playing around in my 'pet-project' aka my flower garden; gave me a really good start on getting my flower garden prepared for this years planting endeavours!
I have been given a number of beautiful plants and have purchased a few myself ... native poppies (yellow), foxglove (pale yellow), poppies (red), native daisies (white), bleeding heart (pink n white), chinese lantern (orange), columbine (deep purple), lilies (reds/yellows/oranges), irises (all colours) ... etc (a few more I can't remember at the moment)
Anyway, what I find strange is (which only occurred to me today) and this is totally unintentional, is that ... practically every plant I have purchased thus far into the season, they are all purple in colour .... why is that?
Maybe it's my artistic subconscious ... saying to me "Well, if you really want to paint with plants; your garden needs colour balance!"
Does that sound right to you guys ... ?

My thoughts are wishing your mom the best Christopher. I am sure everything will work out friend. Keep your head up.

Glad I could inspire.
And thanks to ALL for your thoughts and prayers for my mom. She is going in for mammogram/sonogram/bone scan/surgical consultation on June 15th and 16th. She canceled the June 9th surgery to get int UAB Medical Center (University of Alabama, Birmingham)-- top 20 in the Nation, so it postponed it, but she is going to a much better place now.

Possibly because every plant that has been given to you is a shade of yellow, so you are subconciously trying to balance it out with the purple.
I've been needing to plant something in the small flower bed around my mail box post-- it was a gorgeous display of huge, double yellow/white daffodils and black (actually very dark purple) tulips this March, but they've more than fizzled out here lately to the point of looking tacky.
[edit]
haha. I have the purple/yellow theme going on at my house, too. Do you have some Cajun in you, too? Purple, gold and green are the colors of Cajun Nation.
