The most recent movie I have watched was Soylent Green. It was a good movie for it's time. Somebody should remake it.

... : The Dark Knight : ...
Well, for as hyped up as this movie was and for as excited as I was to see it, I don't think it was all that and a bag of chips!
Although, I do agree with many that, Heath Ledger (may he rest in peace) did a stellar and wicked performance as the Joker, it's trully ashame that he is no longer with us...he was a great actor!
And, as for Batman, well, he was hardly in the film. It's almost like his character was a secondary thought, and when he was, he was annoyingly difficult to understand....with his super-hushed-raspy voice.
The movie was long, hard plot to follow, way too special effects, way too much going on, and quite honestly, it didn't strike me as a classic comic-book Batman movie!
So, for as the highest grossing film ever, I really didn't like it much, but I did enjoy it (believe or not) and I am glad I didn't waste any money seeing in the theatre.
Please, take no offense, to those who really enjoyed it!

None taken but I was one who thoroughly enjoyed it and thought Heath Ledger will be a great loss as his role as The Joker was brilliant!!
I do agree with you on the annoying raspy Batman voice though
I sow Igor today.. I know its cartoon, but its good
...hmmm,well i am trying hard not to
I enjoyed 'the dark knight' right from the first minute, and not only because of the Joker, his character was a plus among many other pluses......It had a racy screenplay unlike the other super hero flicks where the protagonist hops over buildings.....
a very good performance from Christian bale,Aaron Eckhart ,Gary oldman and not to mention Heath ledger
All these elements supported by a superb, groundbreaking soundtrack by Hans Zimmer....
I wish i had seen the movie in a theater
Movies i saw recently....
Burn After Reading :Supposedly a funny movie where nobody is faithful to anyone and everybody sleeps with someone other than there spouses .....but i have to say i did enjoy the movie ,it's full of serious ,tragic fun....Clooney and Pitt are in their unusual self.
Valkyrie:Based on actual events during WWll.A plot to assassinate Hitler by Germans themselves.....Yet another movie to remind the world about the evils of fascism.
I sow City of Ember yesterday and it was okay, book is better. I'm going to see Rocknrolla today starring Gerard Butler.
As for Batman ? Dark Knight and Tim Burton's Batman are totally two different Batmans. HL was very good in the movie and in a way he really was the main focus of the movie, probably not attentional, but he was phenomenal. Burton's Batman is so different, no realy way to compare these two.
Well, in retrospect, I see now, everything you mentioned in the film! I did enjoy it...I just feel, the film was too long and too much was going on, to really get the gist of the plot....and I pride myself on being able to follow complex plots.....eh, oh well!
You are right, it did have a good musical score! Hans Zimmer is great!

Yesterday i saw TIME SHIFTERS, a great movie about a man who's coming from the future as tourist to assist to past disasters such as Titanic, Industrial plant fire and so on.
But he is discovered by a reporter who returned to work and who took this case into investigation.
A great movie

A few films I have watched this week
Seven Pounds
Starring Will Smith, An IRS agent with a fateful secret embarks on an extraordinary journey of redemption by forever changing the lives of seven strangers
I was looking forward to watching this, Im glad I never went to the pictures to see it, Was a very slow film was falling asleep half way through it. Spent half the film wondering why he was doing what he was doing.. ending was ok but the film left me feeling a bit depressed.
Baylon A.D.
Veteran-turned-mercenary Thoorop takes the high-risk job of escorting a woman from Russia to America. Little does he know that she is host to an organism that a cult wants to harvest in order to produce a genetically modified Messiah.
not a bad story, but im really not a fan of Vin Deasel and in this film as always he just comes across as a macho idiot.
The Objective
A group of Special Ops Reservists on a mission in the harsh and hostile terrain of Afghanistan find themselves lost in a Middle Eastern "Bermuda Triangle" of ancient evil.
Sort of a cross between Apocalypse now and Predator, and nowhere as good as either.
I recently bought some movies that impacted well in my mind wheni was a kid..
finally found them and got them ....
thanks to disney ....
Escape to Witch Mountain
and
return From witch mountain
and
also
Flight If the Navigator...
Has anyone seen these..
great movies when i was a kid...
This great, Supreme God of all the Gods is limited in one respect: He cannot take Himself out of you , anything or anyone else. You are the projector and the screen ...you are the movie and every player is you ....The Projector - The Bodys eyes ...the screen = the world and the universe you see...Know thy self ...
I love those films
Over the weekend I saw Tropic Thunder...OMG!! I haven't laughed so much. Although its a bit gory in places (very tongue in cheek) the way Ben Stiller takes the proverbial p**s out of Hollywood and actors is hilarious. Watch out for a great dance scene by Tom Cruise...very chubby and hairy!!!!
I loved this film!!!
Robert Downey Jnr proved once again why he is such a great actor and very underestimated in my opinion!!
I Watched Frost/Nixon last night, A really good film about the interviews Richard Nixon gave to David Frost after Watergate, I found it very entertaining, Frank Langella is excellent as Nixon.
For any Jason Statham fans out there...I saw Death RAce the other night....very bloody and gruesome but some great racing shots!
Yeah yeah I know...we all have our dark sides and even I like to watch an action film!!
3:10 to Yuma 1957 version. Starring Glenn Ford and Van Helfin.
3:10 to Yuma 2007 version. Starring Christian Bale and Russell Crowe.
Personally, I perferred the 1957 version, even though I am not a total fan of the (over saturated) 1950's western films, still, it was better than 2007 version.
Basic plot of both films, set in the post-civil war west, an Arizona rancher helps to get an outlaw/prisoner onto the 3:10 train to Yuma, lots of gun slinging and self-reflection occurrs in both films, but less blood in shed in the 1957 version.
Both films have different endings.
