It has been 3 years

Today, exactly 3 years ago i recieved a PM from Lorri on the good old EMB with a link to a forum called Mysterious Wisdom. Because of the growing negative flow on the EMB and because I couldn't really put GT's departure back then behind me, I had a feeling that it was time for something new so i followed the PM and link to check it out......

So I arrived here on November the 7th 2008, signed in and started to have a look around. I never knew that I would find GT here in the first place! That put a huge smile on my face to see he had set up a new home which it made me jump for joy. After that I started to notice some other familiar names on the board and others i knew came in as new members too.
Right here on MW I got to know some of you much better than I ever would have imagined, especially GT, Little Bird, Kiran, Narnia, Bluestar, Lion Spirit Walker. Also all the other MW family members too of course!
Seven days later I became a MW Mod Squad teammember which made me very happy and up to now I still enjoying it.

MW also expanded it's realm towards Twitter, Face(Puss)Book as time passed by and yeah... now we even hook up on Google+ now and then.

If i'm proud of being a MW member and part of the family? Hell yeah!!!! You can count on that!!

Here's to many more years to come!

Oh my goodness! 3 years already! WOW, where does the time go!!!

Recently, my mind has been shrouded with the current state of affairs of my Life,
which has me consumed with worry, but it'll be fine.

So, seeing Maik's wonderful thread and post, snapped at my attention and made me remember,
how and when MW all came to be.

At the time on the ol' EMB (Enigma Message Board - for those who don't know what EMB stands for) ... I was a profile moderator, I had an inkling of what was going on a few weeks before GT left and it wasn't looking good. Enigma's new album had just come out, I was excited to be part of the EMB during the release of an album, but realised it was more than I really wanted to know. So, just days after SLMF's release, I had to skip off to LA for my beautiful cousins wedding. I was cut off from being online for a few days. When I got back home after a lovely time in LA, things online were totally different. GT was gone and he absence was immense and very hard to take. I felt I had lost a friend, but not 'just a friend', a key connection, of which I did not want to lose. I sent Peter an email or PM immediately asking how we could stay in touch on a regular basis and he kindly told me of a place he was working on and here we are today!

I joined Nov 4, 2008, and within days of joining MW, Peter kindly bestowed the honour F-Mod to me which later grew to C-Mod and now *gosh* S-Mod of MW. I have been at the core of MW since day one (more-or-less) I've seen it grow and develop into what it is today and today, 3 years later, I am still adore and am honoured to be a part of the collective mind-set of MW and it's team. I feel MW has always been at my own inner-core even before it's creation. MW is my second home.

Little did I know just how much MW would and still does enrich and touch my Life in ways that words can never fully express.

The friendships and connections I have had here have all had their hand in shaping me into a better person each day!

With deep loving appreciation and respect, from my heart I thank you all (again) for your wonderful and unique friendships.

I treasure and cherish it all!!

So, on that note ... let's break out the bubblies and Celebrate!

AWESOME! Thanks for starting this thread Maik. Sooo cool to hear you and Polly reminisce about the birth of this amazing place, which has in many ways been my internet home.

I remember being perplexed and confused by the EMB's painful demise. I didn't really have a clue what was going on, but my goodness it had become a cesspool of negativity. When I received an email from Lorri inviting me here, it immediately felt right and CLICKED! I joined on 3rd November 2008 and have been so grateful to have been part of this family and to get to know people much more than I ever did on EMB - and to meet so many other wonderful people such as Michael (the action I'm most proud of my entire time here as been inviting him here ), Anjou and many others (too many to name right now). I love it here and I love you guys. Thank you so much to Peter for creating this community.

Yep been a while since Peter and I began speaking about creating a space where topics that were appealing to many could be openly discussed without the crap that went on before this place was created....about 6 months before this place started I think?
31st October 2008 was my joining date and I think I was the 3rd member after Peter and Kiera. Been a while alright and good place to come and rest a while.

It was October 6th, 2008 at 9:41 PM when we uploaded the very first database that was indellibly named Mysterious-Wisdom. At that time, as some of you will remember, I was still navigating a deeply emotional journey of pain, deep disappointment of loss and betrayal from people I once called my friends... In short I hurt! Big time! I remember thinking how can people really be that way, so horrible and mean?? I was so unsure of everything to be honest.

I only started this new forum idea after talking with Lorri, She helped me to see we could learn from the past mistakes and rid ourselves of the negative old forum 'school boy' and childish crap that once held us back... It was then I decided to stuff the past and move on! to a place where we could have a REAL forum with a REAL community powering it, with members and mods being respectful to each other Not with the 'Do as we say or your banned' attitudes that so many STILL have today... A more 'open and friendly' 'it's your choice, your forum, 'Come on in we're open!' feel to it! You should come here cos you WANT to be a part of all this not just to get your update and leave being afraid to post for fear of the backlash... A forum staffed with mods who CARE about the members they serve not set to rule with an iron fist...

So yes we created MysteriousWisdom.com and here just three years later we are living that very same dream that kicked started all of this.
This forum only works because of it's members like YOU! You guys are the real sole reason I did what I had too back then and why MW came into being here shorty there after.

We really have moved on to a better place here, You can just feel it!
This forum is for all people wanting a change form the old ways of thinking and are open to all kinds of Mysterious-Wisdom! In every day life, this place for friends both old and new to meet and mind-meld with fellow like minded souls.

Thanks for sharing your comments and thoughts my dear friends, they and you are awesome. Good reminders too if i may say so... especially GT's post, it makes you think about stuff and let's you realize the true purpose and message behind MW. It makes you even think about life itself in my case.

I truely hope that, today after i posted this thread, you all experienced that feeling we got the first time we entered the mystical realm of Mysterious Wisdom. It brings back great memories for me anyway, including the positive energy.

far out ! 3 years already ! thats amazing ... it feels so timeless here ... i also remember getting an email from lorri about her and Peter being in talks about creating a board where we can talk about all the stuff we did on the EMB until the board decided to get rid of those things ..that seems like yesterday even to me ... wow .. anyway Happy 3 years MW ..and i look forward to many more xxx
