    This song/video is a scathing attack on the superficiality of American culture and in particular US foreign policy. I think it was released just prior to the US invasion of Iraq and this video was quickly banned. It's easy to see why. It's very hard-hitting but then given the subject matter it has every right to be. (Strong language and strong content)

    Madge again - this song was written about AIDs at a time, in the early-90s, when I don't think many artists had the guts to say much about it.

    Much of Banco De Gaia (Toby Marks)'s work has political undertones even though he rarely uses vocals. "Last Train to Lhasa" (song and album) was written to protest China's actions in Tibet, including the construction of a rail network from China to Tibet, which was created in the 90s
