As snow clouds scudded across the sky, I was lucky enough to see a few breaks in the clouds and see the eclipse! Looked very spectacular as the light grew and the moon got redder and redder....

I crawled up at 7.30 and was lucky to see it clearly. It was spectacular as a reddish shadow crept across the moon. I don't have a decent camera with a zoom otherwise I'd have taken a pic.

Here's a really interesting page with some background and an astrological and esoteric analysis of the event. Haven't read it all yet but looks really interesting. Did you know that the last time a lunar eclipse coincided with winter solstice Galileo was alive? Enjoy http://myemail.constantcontact.com/D...id=hVgDBAk6CR0

Not really one of my favourite Enigma songs, but it's been in mind all day and seems appropriate. Lovely pics!

"Remember the full moon." Something I had read a number of years ago in the King James version of the christian bible. That simple sentence. No explanation.
The moon, eclipse, allignment, etc. has been unlike anything I had ever experienced before.
The weeks leading into it, that night/day, and the days that have followed have reallyknocked me down and kicked me about without mercy.
Please forgive my choice of expression, but it was a true bitch moon.

I'm so sorry to hear that buddy. I hope you feel much better soon.

Some interesting insights I found online.

    The Time Between Eclipses

We are in the Time Between Eclipses (TTBE) now. Eclipses always come in pairs. The 'bookend' eclipse that matches the Total(ly) Lunar(tic) Solstice Eclipse on December 21 is a Partial Solar Eclipse (seen over most of Europe, at its height in Sweden) which occurs on Tuesday January 4.

NOTE: While it is perfectly ok to look at a lunar eclipse, it is never safe to look at a solar eclipse, you could be blinded: "Eye warnings issued for Partial Solar Eclipse" http://bit.ly/gOOlDb Please keep this in mind if you are planning to do some eclipse viewing. I will be offering another newsletter on the eclipse in a few days, once I get back from Sirius (JUST KIDDING

The Time Between Eclipses, a 2-week period, is very fertile ground. The changes you may have experienced, the shifts, the breakthroughs (the breakdowns?) that occurred with the first eclipse, will reach a point of culmination with the second. Inbetween we are in a kind of 'time-outside-of-time', a space of potentiality that may feel a bit strange. The fact that this TTBE falls during the Solstice gateway, a womb of potential in its own right, adds to the power of what we can create with intention at this time. More than most New Years Days, this really is a good time to dream your dreams of a new life and set your intention for the positive change you want to see in your life and in the world.
